Where in the world are you, and are you able to travel?

We are based in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, but are always happy and willing to travel both locally and abroad for the sake of taking memorable photographs. Local travel within 100km’s of Cape Town CBD is included in all of our packages and any additional travel around SA or internationally will be added to your package of choice, if required.

Do you always shoot with 2 photographers?

For small, intimate weddings we may choose to shoot alone or with an assistant for an extra pair of hands, but otherwise there will always be two of us snapping away. We wouldn’t want to miss those key moments, as they only happen once!

Are you able to give us your RAW files from our shoot?

You’re unlikely to find any professional photographer who will hand over RAW images to a client, and there are good reasons for that. It’s kind of like going out for a nice dinner at your favourite restaurant; you certainly won’t be asking the chef to serve you the raw ingredients, right? Rather, you choose that restaurant because you love how the food tastes, the flavours and recipes unique to that place. Photographers are almost like chefs (without the funny hats), we take pride in our work and spend years perfecting our craft. Our promise is that we’ll never hold back on the good stuff. On that note, anyone else getting hungry?

What kind of lighting do you use?

We’re so glad you asked! We prefer shooting using only natural light wherever and whenever possible. During night-time receptions we may whip out a flash if the conditions call for it, but we prefer to be as ninja-like as we can, so we always advise our clients to have sufficient ambient light ready for when the sun goes down. Candles alone (as romantic as they are) often don’t provide enough light so it’s always a good idea to bring some extra lighting into your venue of choice – fairy lights are always dreamy too!

Also keep this in mind earlier in the day when you’re getting ready. A clean, light and airy space is ideal for photographs (make-up artists will prefer this as well!) so choose these areas wisely.

How do I make a booking?

We do require a deposit in order to secure that date for you, but we’ll cover all of that in our follow-up chats. The process is pain-free and we promise to keep it simple!

What kind of music do you play?

We aim to be as versatile and flexible as we can to keep our clients’ (and their guests) jamming on the dancefloor! We really enjoy taking the crowd on a bit of a musical journey and like to cover a variety of genres and rhythms along the way.

Because of the incredibly vast musical options available on planet earth, we will always sit down with our clients and discuss their ‘hot’ and ‘definitely not’ playlists.

Of course, we also reserve the right to adapt the playlist slightly on the spot if we see the dancefloor looking a little dull *cue the tumbleweeds*

Do you take requests on the night?

If we have the requested song available, and we feel that it’s appropriate to throw into the mix, then we’ll definitely do our best to oblige! That being said, however, we can’t guarantee either of those things as there are literally a trazillion songs in the universe and only so many hours in a wedding reception (although we often wish the fun never had to stop!)… but where possible we will do our best. Our priority is a happy, vibey dancefloor!

Do you provide your own sound equipment?

This will of course depend on which package you choose.

If you already have a sound setup at the venue, then we’ll just bring our DJ gear to plug into the main system and we only charge you for our time.

If you require a sound system to be brought in, we will provide a quote from our preferred supplier and will handle the logistics and setup on the day.
